Public Notice – Proposals for the Holmes County Court House Square Improvements

(Notice to Contractors)
Sealed proposals for the Holmes County Court House Square Improvements will be received by the Holmes County Commissioners at their office 2 Court St. Millersburg, Ohio 44654 until 10:30 am. current local time, on Monday July 9, 2018 and then at 10:30 am, at said office, opened and read aloud.
Plans, Specifications, and Bid Forms are available at the Holmes County Commissioners at their office 2 Court St. Suite 14 Millersburg, Ohio 44654. There is no charge for a set of plans and specifications (one set per general contractor).
Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 100% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Holmes County Commissioners or by certified check, cashiers check or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less that 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid Holmes County Commissioners. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the officials or agent signing the bond.
Bids shall be sealed and marked as “Bid for Holmes County Court House Square Improvements” and mailed or delivered to:

Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap or national origin. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Holmes County and as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Wage and Hour Division, 614-644-2239. Weekly payroll records shall be submitted to the Holmes County Prevailing Wage Coordinator for verification of compliance.
Construction to begin within thirty (30) days after award of contract.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Holmes County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Holmes County Commissioners Office 2 Court Street, Suite 14, Millersburg, Ohio on Monday June 25, 2018 at 9:00 am.
