Bid Opening – Chip Seal Program
Sealed bids will be received for 2016 Chip Seal Program until 10:00 am local time on April 4, 2016 at the Holmes County Commissioner’s Office, 2 Court Street, Suite 14, Millersburg, Ohio 44654 and will be publicly opened and read at 10:00 am local time.
This project consists of approximately 30-40 miles of double chip seal road resurfacing within Holmes County. All specifications are detailed within the project documents.
Plans, specifications, and other contract documents are available for review or purchase by contacting the Holmes County Engineer, 7191 State Route 39, Millersburg, Ohio 44654, (330) 674-1856.
Each bid shall contain the name of every person, firm or corporation interested in the same and be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of 1.) a certified check, or cashier’s check, or letter of credit, equal to 10% of the bid; or 2.) a bid guaranty bond in the full amount of the bid; both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications.
All bid guaranties shall be conditional that if the bid is accepted within sixty days of the bid opening, a proper contract will be executed and that upon failure or refusal to enter into a contract within ten days after receipt of notification of award the bidder and the surety on any bond shall be liable to the Holmes County Commissioner’s in an amount not to exceed ten percent of the bid.
The Holmes County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to determine the lowest and best bid.
Each Bid shall be enclosed and delivered in a sealed opaque envelope with the Bidder’s name, the title of the Project, bid opening date and addressed as follows: Holmes County Commissioner, 2 Court Street, Suite 14, Millersburg, Ohio 44654.
