MT. HOPE WWTP IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

LEGAL NOTICE

Sealed bids will be received for the Mount Hope WWTP Improvement Project until 10:00 AM local time on October 16th, 2017 at the Holmes County Commissioner’s Office, 2 Court Street, Suite 14, Millersburg, Ohio 44654 and will be publicly opened and read at 10:00 AM local time.

This project is broken down in two separate contracts. Contract “A” consists of the work defined on the EnviroScience Drawings and determined as Restoration Project Contract “B” consists of the work defined on the W.E. Quicksall & Associates Drawings including Electrical Drawings by MJK Electrical Engineers and Structural Drawings by Fenton Engineering. This work includes modifications to the existing WWTP and the new WWTP additions. The bid shall be for all necessary insurance, labor, tools and equipment and material for the complete construction, restoration and clean-up of the site.

A MANDATORY PRE BID MEETING WILL BE HELD ON September 18th, 2017 AT 1:30 PM ON PROJECT SITE (Near the address of 4561 County Road 160 ).

Plan, specifications, and other contract documents are available for review or purchases by contacting the Holmes County Engineer, 7191 State Route 39, Millersburg, Ohio 44654, (330) 674-1856. The cost is $100 per set, and is non-refundable.

Each bid shall contain the name of every person, firm or corporation interested in the same and be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of 1.) a certified check, or cashier’s check, or letter of credit, equal to 10% of the bid; or 2.) a bid guaranty bond in the full amount of the bid; both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. AIA Documents are not acceptable.

All bid guaranties shall be conditional that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening, a proper contract will be executed and that upon failure or refusal to enter into a contract within ten days after receipt of notification of award the bidder and the surety on any bond shall be liable to the Holmes County Commissioner’s in an amount not to exceed ten percent of the bid.

DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.011 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.011 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES.

Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap or national origin. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Holmes County and the as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Wage and Hour Division, 614-644-2239. Weekly payroll records shall be submitted to the Holmes County Engineer for verification of compliance.

The Holmes County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to determine the lowest and best bid.

Each Bid shall be enclosed and delivered in a sealed opaque envelope with the Bidder's name, the title of the Project, bid opening date and addressed as follows: Holmes County Commissioner, 2 Court Street, Suite 14, Millersburg, Ohio 44654.
