JOE D. MILLER
Current Term: 01/01/2017 – 01/01/2021
Terms Served: 1st Term | Serving Since: January-09
Commissioner Joe Miller has served Holmes County since 2003 when he was appointed to complete an unexpired term. He is presently the most senior member of the Board of Commissioners with 13 years of experience. He has run three successful campaigns having been re-elected to the seat in 2004, 2008, and 2012 and is a candidate for the upcoming 2016 election. Prior to becoming an elected official, Joe worked in private business serving as the Operations Manager and General Manager of Dutchman Hospitality and was also the owner / operator of the Oak Ridge Inn in Walnut Creek, Ohio for 20 years.
Commissioner Miller is an outspoken proponent of fiscal conservatism and along with the other two Commissioners is proud to be a part of the many positive developments that have occurred within Holmes County government. Holmes County has transformed itself from a period of extreme budget shortfalls to what it has become today. Through Commissioner Miller’s leadership, the county now boasts a strong stable budget, efficient operating standards and a “rainy day” fund that in 2016 is at the maximum level allowed by Ohio law.
Commissioner Miller looks forward to continuing to represent the people of Holmes County and would encourage you to stop by our office at 2 Court Street in Millersburg or call his cell at 330-204-1490 or home 330-893-2043 if there is anything he can do for you.
